Rumors were swirling on Page Six that Jennifer Lopez was “furious” over recent “flirty” pictures of Ben Affleck with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. But, a new Instagram post proves Lopez’s former flame may be the furthest thing from her mind. She’s got an “office romance” to focus on.
On March 7, the star shared a series of photos from what producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas revealed was a table read and captioned the snaps, “This is gonna be fun one.” She added a sparkle emoji before writing, “@Netflix Office Romance.”
She capped off the post by adding the hashtag #NuyoricanProductions to signify the involvement of the production company she founded with her former manager, Benny Medina, in 2001.
And, Lopez has a brand new leading man. According to Deadline, Lopez will star in the new Netflix comedy with Brett Goldstein, a British comedian.

JLo and the “Gone Girl” star finally made it to the altar on July 16 of the same year, 18 years after they famously broke off their first engagement.
But the on-off couple quickly ended things again, with CNN reporting in January 2025 that they had finalized their divorce.
Some fans thought a September 2024 lunch reunion that took place a month after Lopez filed papers to initiate the split meant their was still hope the pair could rekindle their love. Several outlets, including Harper’s Bazaar, published photos of the outing.
However, a makeup doesn’t appear to be on the horizon, as Elle’s relationship timeline of the superstars currently says the two haven’t been publicly spotted together since they stood near each other while queuing for a school play in which they each had a child to watch in December 2024.
JLo Is Diving Into A Different Kind of Romance
Leaving her relationship woes behind her, Jennifer Lopez announced that her next romance will be the cinematic kind.
On March 7, JLo tagged Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, her new film’s producer with whom Lopez has worked in the past on projects like “Shotgun Wedding” and “Hustlers,” in an Instagram post.
Goldsmith-Thomas made a post of her own in which she shared a bit more info about their new film together. She captioned the happy shots of Lopez, “Table read yesterday for #OFFICEROMANCE…LOL funny, romantic, lovely! Here we goooooo folks!!!!”
The producer is also getting buzz for her first novel, “Climbing In Heels,” which will be adapted by Peacock for a drama series.

GettyHola! pointed out on March 7 the “Ted Lasso” and “Harley Quinn” star Goldstein has enthusiastically voiced his admiration for Lopez.
The Latin website reminded fans of when Goldstein seemed in disbelief of Lopez’s age in an interview with the “Films To Be Buried” podcast. “50! She’s 50! I love her!” exclaimed the stage star, before continuing that he wanted to get some of her “special cuddles” after seeing her onscreen in a fluffy, cozy coat.
The 44-year-old comedian is currently single after splitting with girlfriend Beth Rylance in 2022, according to GlamSham.
