Jillian Michaels is getting a lot of support from after speaking up to set the record straight! The fitness icon took to her Instagram on August 19, 2025 to respond to the controversy surrounding Netflix‘s documentary, “The Reality of the Biggest Loser,” which dropped August 15.
According to TMZ, Michaels is asserting the show has a history of trying to paint her in a negative light, and is citing several inaccuracies, such as a claim she never worked with Dr. Robert Huizenga. Read on to see all her responses.

First up in the series of receipts the 51-year-old posted was a screenshot of an email exchange between herself and “Biggest Loser” producers discussing the use fat burners and caffeine pills.
In the caption of the post, Michaels made several points about her side of the story. These included a reference to caffeine products. “Caffeine was NEVER banned,” wrote Michaels.
She said she had in fact pushed for her own caffeine brand to be used, because it was “cleaner” and equivalent to a strong cup of coffee.
Lots of fans were on her side. One replied to her response, “Oh I was waiting for this!”
Another wrote, “I am a huge Jillian fan. She is coming with receipts!”
“I have respected you since the show and I continue to respect you as a health advocate,” chimed in another.
