Jerry Seinfeld Poses With His Kids in Rare Family Photo

While many Americans were busy celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend, many also celebrated graduations. Jerry Seinfeld‘s oldest son, Julian, has graduated from North Carolina’s Duke University, following in the footsteps of his older sister Sascha. The billionaire comedian and his wife, Jessica, got together with the whole family to celebrate the festive occasion with quality time together.

He Celebrated His Son’s Duke University Graduation With His Entire Family

The entire Seinfeld clan: Jerry, Jessica, 24-year-old Sascha, 22-year-old Julian, and 19-year-old Shepherd took spontaneous and unique photos over the weekend, which Jessica posted to Instagram. The first was of the whole family smiling happily, arms around each other.

Jessica captioned the picture: “@dukeuniversity you did it again. Four unforgettable years filled with challenges, opportunities, and triumphs—each one shaping Julian for what comes next. This chapter closes, but a new one begins as he joins the ranks of Duke alumni. We’re endlessly grateful for this extraordinary place and the incredible families of the Class of 2025. What a ride. We’ll miss you more than words can say. Keep in touch 💙”

The photos were taken over several days, and the family wore various outfits. Sascha wore a grey dress with a matching cardigan in one sibling photo, while Shepherd wore a white shirt and a grey jacket. Julian wore a hat and a gown with a black and white striped tie peeking out. In another, Sascha wore a red skirt and top combo, while her brothers both wore button-down shirts.

Jessica also posted more on her Instagram stories. One photo expressed how much she would miss the families they’d gotten to know. Another noted, “Today was a Happy Mother’s Day. Every day I try to count 100 blessings, but today feels like 101. I’m celebrating every mom I know and also those I don’t.”

Seinfeld Shares Why He Chose Duke for His Kids

Julian is the second child to graduate from Duke University, after Sascha in 2023. Their youngest son, Shepherd, started at Duke in the fall of 2024. Neither Seinfeld nor Jessica attended Duke, but they were drawn to it for different reasons.

“I was doing a show here some years ago and – way before we were even starting to think about colleges – I just looked at the university from the road. And I just thought that place looks nice,” Seinfeld told Duke Magazine. And Jess is much more well versed in all these schools and what their strengths and weaknesses are. But I just had a feeling about it. And the funny thing is, it turned out to be right. It is what it seems to be.”

There are standards to it that are exceptional, but there’s a warmth to it that I think we both responded to,” he continued. “That combination of a healthy environment, and a rigorous environment, we thought was rare and special. And then the more time we spent the more we liked it.”

If their kids’ lives are any indication, it was definitely the right choice for the Seinfeld family. Sascha helped write a sketch for “Inside Amy Schumer” while still in college. Since graduating, she has been a writer on “The Life of Beth” and wrote the short film “The Final Cut.”

Julian majored in sociology and has worked as a part-time creative consultant at LIFT Sports Management since 2022. He plans to work in sports management.
