Jennifer Aniston Relaxing at Home When Man Crashes Car Through Her Gate

Imagine chilling at home, doing yoga, maybe making a little lunch. Suddenly, out of nowhere, you hear an enormous crash. You wonder to yourself, ‘Did something happen in my neighborhood?’ And then you discover the occurrence isn’t so far from home.

While we don’t know what she was doing at her home, we do know a terrifying incident occurred Monday afternoon as Jennifer Aniston was hanging out in her LA mansion: A man crashed through the gates.

Her Security Held Man at Gunpoint After Crash

After the car that drove through the gates of Aniston’s Bel Air home had stopped, her security team pulled the driver out, TMZ reported. According to the police, Aniston’s security guards held the man at gunpoint until they arrived.

Sources say that an ambulance had to be called because the driver was complaining about pain.

Authorities confirmed that officers responded to a 911 call about a possible burglary suspect at the home of the Friends actress at 12:20 p.m. on Monday.

Despite initially being thought to be an older man, police have identified the alleged suspect as Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, who is 48 years old. He was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, according to Fox11. No motive is currently known.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Aniston has dealt with unwanted interactions. In 2002, she sued a photographer who climbed a tree and took topless photos of her in the privacy of her backyard. She sued and was awarded $550,000 in damages.

Eight years later, the actress was granted a restraining order against a man named Jason Peyton. Peyton believed he was in a relationship with Aniston and was hanging around places she was known to visit. When he was arrested, he was carrying duct tape, a sharp object, and love letters to her.

Aniston Bought the Bel Air Home While She Was With Justin Theroux

Jennifer Aniston bought the A. Quincy Jones-designed home in 2012 for $20.97 million, according to Architecture Digest (AD). Designers Stephen Shadley, Kathleen and Tommy Clements, and Jane Hallworth helped her transform the home. “Aesthetically, it was the furthest thing from what I wanted, but I immediately had the sense that it could work,” she told AD.

She also lived in the home with Justin Theroux, whom she had been dating for about a year. They spent two years renovating the 8,000-square-foot property together. They loved the results so much that they decided there was nowhere else they’d want to get married.

“Every corner you turn, you have an experience,” she told AD about the Bel Air property. “Everywhere you look, you get a vista. We worked very hard to get that flow right.”
