Hulk Hogan’s Last Moments – ‘Took a Turn Overnight’

The sad news emerged that WWE legend Hulk Hogan had passed away on July 24. Notably, this came after the famous wrestler had suffered years of injuries and health issues. Now, one of his dear friends is saying Hulk was doing fine, but took a turn overnight.

Hulk Hogan’s friend, Jimmy Hart, spoke to PEOPLE on July 25. He revealed, “I called [Hogan] on Wednesday night, and then Thursday morning is when everything took place. So just…just overnight it all happened, but it was so positive the day before.” Jimmy became emotional during the interview about the passing of Hulk Hogan.

Jimmy Hart stated that he and Hulk Hogan saw each other frequently. Not only did they watch wrestling together, but they also had regular karaoke nights with Hulk’s son, Nick Hogan. However, he last saw his friend about a month before his death.

He continued, “He was great. He had great food to eat that night. He was talking with the fans. He was just phenomenal.” Jimmy also clarified that when he called Hulk, he spoke to his assistant. According to him, he said at the time, “Well, tell him I love him.”

He Received the News The Morning After the Call About Hulk Hogan’s Death

Jimmy Hart reflected on the death of Hulk Hogan with PEOPLE. He said, “It just hits so fast. It was like, ‘Oh my God.’ We thought he was doing so well, you know? We didn’t go to see him at the house and didn’t go to see him at the hospital, because we wanted to make sure that he didn’t get any infections or anything else, like if anybody had a cold or brought anything in. So, that’s what we all did.”

He then said about Hulk Hogan’s legacy, “Anytime you lose anybody in this business, it’s such a tight, tight-knit group, it’s like a fraternity, you know? And it affects all of us. And the show must go on and all that, but that’s just the way it is.”

Many Have Paid Tribute To The WWE Legend

Naturally, Hulk Hogan’s death has been met with several social media tributes. One of the most notable came from Triple H. He said on X, “WWE would not be where it is today without the larger-than-life characters that compete in the ring … and few, if any, loomed larger than Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea.”

Triple H continued, “He was the archetype of what it meant to be a “Superstar” – a global sensation that inspired millions to work hard at whatever it was they wanted to accomplish and a look that made him recognizable to fans around the world.”

The wrestling icon then said, “Hulk Hogan, clad in red and yellow or nWo black and white, was simply put, iconic. As a Real American or the leader of one of the industry’s biggest factions, he transcended and elevated the entire business to heights never before seen – in every country and on every continent.”

He concluded, “There was no one like The Hulkster, and there very well may never be another. My family sends their condolences to his family, friends, and fans.”

Hulk Hogan was 71 when he passed away.
