Brooke, 37, had been estranged from her father leading up to his wedding, which she did not attend. Sources close to the family said her husband, Steven Oleksy, had tried to repair their relationship on multiple occasions, but Hogan was allegedly only interested in reconnecting on his terms.

Still, Brooke is said to be “grateful” for the chance to tell her father she loved him in their final conversation and is “at peace” knowing she tried to mend their relationship before his passing.

Sources told Page Six that Brooke learned of Hogan’s death when her brother, Nick Hogan, texted her husband to share the devastating news. Hogan was pronounced dead after Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a cardiac arrest call at his Florida home on the morning of July 24. He was 71.

“He was very proud of her. She was his little girl,” a rep for Brooke told the outlet. “We still can’t believe he is gone.”

Shortly after news of his death broke, Hogan’s reps confirmed the tragic loss with a heartfelt statement: “Unfortunately, we must confirm that Terry Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, passed away this morning. We are heartbroken. He was such a great human being and friend.”

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, was a global wrestling icon who defined an era of sports entertainment. He is survived by Sky Daily, his first wife, Linda Hogan, and their children, Brooke and Nick.
