While newly elected Pope Leo XIV was waving to the crowd gathering in Saint Peter’s Square in the Vatican on May 8, little did he know that Harry Styles was in the crowd. The singer was probably trying to blend in with his blue jacket, sunglasses, and grey IDEA baseball hat with the logo “Techno is My Boyfriend.” But one fan captured a photo as proof of the random incident.

Styles’ Fans Are Joking About How ‘Random’ He Is

Styles has been enjoying his downtime since his Love on Tour ended, and it seems to be taking him to unexpected places. He showed up at the Tokyo Marathon in Japan on March 2, finishing in 6010th place with a time of three hours and 24 minutes.

Then, on April 10, a fan posted a TikTok video of Styles joining their London running group — in jeans. He even took a group photo.

Many people are aware that Styles has long been drawn to Rome and the Italian lifestyle. Therefore, his presence at the Vatican may not be so strange. He expressed a fondness for the country during his last tour performance, which took place in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

“The last two years of my life have been a wonderful gift, and it is truly very special to end my tour here, in this country that has a special place in my heart,” he told the crowd in Italian.

Since his tour ended, he’s spent a lot of time in the country, especially in Rome. He seemed to take up residence in the city after splitting from Taylor Russell. In the summer of 2024, he was often spotted running errands, shopping, and grabbing coffee. It has even been rumored that he owns a home in the area.

On April 29, a fan caught Styles walking out of a Berlin recording studio and slipping headphones on. He was also spotted with his producer, Kid Harpoon, his Love on Tour band members, and his manager. The singer has been pretty silent since ending his last tour in July 2023. Everyone is hopeful this means new music is coming.

While Styles told Rolling Stone in October 2022 that he was already working on early ideas of his next album, known for now as HS4, fans have been waiting for more details. His last album, “Harry’s House,” was released in May 2022. Each of his albums so far has come out within three years of each other, so fans are hoping something is on the horizon.
