“Freakier Friday” is headed to the cinemas on August 8, and fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time! The upcoming film is a sequel to the 2003 movie, “Freaky Friday,” and stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Ahead of the release, the cast attended a premiere for their film in London’s Leicester Square on July 31, and they looked gorgeous.

Lohan stunned in a light purple dress, which she wore with sandals, while Curtis wowed in a bold red choice. Curtis opted for matching accessories with a red clutch and contrasted her outfit with black heels. The result? Perfection!
The photos are also a beautiful way to see the special bond that Lohan and Curtis share.
Why Fans Wanted a ‘Freakier Friday’ Sequel
Lohan discussed the film at the event. “Fans love the movie and there’s such a strong loyalty,” she told BBC at the premiere. “It made people so happy and I like to make movies that make people feel joy. There’s so much going on in the world now that it’s nice to make something that allows people to forget about what’s going on.”
Curtis and Lohan have a bond that has withstood the test of time, and it was beautifully highlighted by the photos of them together at the premiere. The two stars had kept in touch since the first film, and Curtis told BBC they had “always been united.”
She continued, “I take my job seriously, and when I’m the mother or elder to a young actor, I take great responsibility to make sure they can always count on my friendship and love. We’ve been united all the away from her teens to her twenties and just recently she brought her baby to meet me in LA.”
Curtis and Lohan were also joined by their co-stars, including Chad Michael Murray, who will reprise his role as Jake, and at the helm is director Nisha Ganatra.

In this film, Lohan is a mother to a teen. In her own life, she is also a mother to one child. She married financier Bader Shammas in 2022, and their son was born in 2023.
