After nearly three years and multiple delays, “Euphoria” season 3 is finally on the horizon. Well, almost.
The long-awaited season faced numerous setbacks, including the Hollywood strike that once put the entire industry on pause and the death of Angus Cloud who starred as Fez in the first two seasons. Despite the obstacles, the show survived. HBO recently confirmed that filming is in full swing, with most of the cast officially back on set.
And that’s not all—HBO also teased that even more star power is joining the already stacked cast. But the exciting news comes with a bittersweet twist—season 3 might be “Euphoria’s” final chapter.
Sad? Absolutely. But don’t panic just yet—there’s still plenty to look forward to.
‘Euphoria’ Adds Some Major Names to Season 3, Including an Oscar Nominee
New faces are making their way to “Euphoria” this season, including former NFL star Marshawn Lynch, Grammy-winning artist Rosalía, and actors Toby Wallace and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, legend Sharon Stone is also in talks to join the cast. While details about her role remain top secret, Stone’s history of playing complex, powerhouse characters makes her addition even more exciting.
Of course, the core cast is also returning. Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane, and Colman Domingo are all back for season 3. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter also confirms that Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who had recurring roles in season 2, have been promoted to series regulars.
In addition, expect some high-profile guest appearances along the way.
Is Season 3 the End of ‘Euphoria’? HBO Boss Weighs In
Even though filming is underway, fans still have a long wait ahead—nearly a year—before the new season hits screens.
HBO’s Francesca Orsi recently told Deadline that while nothing is set in stone, discussions have taken place about season 3 being the show’s last.
“We’ve talked about it. I don’t think anything is over until it’s over, but it’s been discussed that this is the end,” Orsi revealed.
If this is “Euphoria’s” final season, Orsi promises fans won’t be left hanging. The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes and include a major time jump, aging the characters out of high school.
While HBO hasn’t announced an exact release date, season 3 is expected to premiere sometime in 2026—a staggering four years after season 2 aired.
Worth the wait? Fans will have to decide for themselves.
