It’s all come down to Debra and Dex in the eighth and final season, but then again, it’s really always been about their relationship. Showtime has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly, that the upcoming season will be the show’s last. Star and executive producer Michael C. Hall has said he’s creatively satisfied with the final chapter and ready to move on from his serial killing character.
The last season trailer isn’t so much a diced up summary of the events to unfold but a single scene between Dexter and Deb in the grocery store. The tension before was merely a bubbling of the toxicity that’s between them now. The final season premiers on June 30th.
