Demi Moore and Rob Lowe starred together in the iconic 1986 movie, “About Last Night.” On December 20, Moore posted photos and a video showing the pair’s reunion, and they both made references to the popular film.
“About Last (Saturday) Night with @roblowe 😉,” Moore wrote on her Instagram page.
“An ’80s reunion to round out 2024 — thank you, Rob, for introducing our @trythesubstance screening! Grateful for the past, the present, and what’s yet to come ♥️” she added.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movie also starred John Belushi. Lowe and Belushi played a “couple of single guys who live in the Windy City and struggle to balance their desire for sex with the possibility of love. When Danny meets cute Debbie (Demi Moore) at a bar the friends frequent in Chicago’s luxurious Gold Coast, the two start a sexually charged courtship that leaves jangled nerves and questioned motives all around.”
The pair also dated years ago. “I mean, Demi and I briefly — I’m not telling tales out of school — we briefly had a thing,” Lowe said on Kelly Ripa’s podcast, adding, “Look, anytime you put young 20-something men and women together, hookups are inevitable.”

Moore’s post also contained a video showing her speaking in front of an audience that included Lowe. “What’s your favorite movie?” Lowe shouted from the audience.
“Oh my God! Well…” Moore said.
“It better be the one I’m thinking about,” Lowe said before joining Moore on stage and kissing her on the head. “I’m going to give you a little help on this. About Last Night!” Lowe said.
Lowe also posted the video to his Instagram page, writing, “So proud of my great friend, Demi and her amazing movie. #TheSubstance.”
“This is my girl,” Lowe told Moore in the video.
Moore said she had not made another movie with Lowe because “he’s just too good looking.”
The year before “About Last Night,” Moore and Lowe appeared in another iconic 1980s-era film together, “St. Elmo’s Fire.”
