Craig Brewer To Remake Footloose

Craig Brewer (the writer/director behind Hustle & Flow and Black Snake Moan) is scheduled to write and direct a remake of 1984’s Footloose, WorstPreviews.com reports. Chace Crawford was supposed to play Ren McCormack, originally played by Kevin Bacon, until a conflict with his Gossip Girl schedule. The movie will still be a musical, but it’s still unknown whether or not the film will take place in the 80’s.
