Is ‘Claim to Fame’ Coming Back? Clues Point to Season 4

Having become a standout in the reality competition genre, ABC’s series “Claim to Fame,” brings together pop culture, strategy, and mystery in a way no other show does on television today. The series, hosted by Kevin and Frankie Jonas, has contestants vying for the prize in a game of deduction fueled by celebrity relatives. With three seasons under their belt, fans are wondering if and when “Claim to Fame” will return. 

How “Claim to Fame” Works

Setting itself apart from the typical reality competition series, “Claim to Fame” uses a unique format. The group of contestants chosen to participate are each related to a celebrity who is relatively well-known. They all move into a house together and must try to uncover their fellow contestants’ celebrity relative’s identities while still keeping their own a secret. 

Players compete in challenges each episode that allow them to earn clues to help solve the mystery of who their companions might be related to. The house votes on which two players will face off in a “Guess Off” at the end of the episode. If the “Guesser” is able to correctly identify the other contestant’s celebrity relative they stay in the house; the other player, who must reveal their celebrity relative, goes home. If the “Guesser” is wrong, they make the reveal and go home instead. 

The Wild Gameplay of “Claim to Fame”

The craziest part is that this choice can be exploited by the other contestants, like in the moment below from season 2, where Jane was the “Guesser” against Chris. She had been lied to by the other players about his celebrity relative’s identity and chaos ensued.

Balancing deceiving their opponents and deducing their celebrity relatives, while also making “Big Brother” style life-saving alliances to protect their own celebrity relative secret adds to the distinctiveness of the series. Whoever makes it to the end will finally reveal their celebrity relative and win a huge prize of $100,000.

“Claim to Fame” Season 4 Rumors

Bringing in a decent amount of viewers for the network with the celebrity aspect and social strategy, it seems ABC would want to continue “Claim to Fame.” But the network has not yet confirmed that a 4th season will air. There have been a few interesting whispers in the news though which makes fans believe it will happen. 

Adding more fuel to the fire, the show’s production company, Kinetic Content, opened a website for people who want to appear on the series to apply. What does this mean? Casting is probably already happening for Season 4 and a renewal of the series should be happening soon. 

What Another Season Would Look Like?

More than likely, Season 4 would follow the same format as previous seasons with a new group of celebrity relatives coming in to try and scope out one another’s celebrity identity. The series would continue to have a suspenseful aspect and maintain its charm from the first three seasons. 

It is possible ABC could make an announcement in mid-2025 with a summer 2026 release for the series’ next season of “Claim to Fame.” Until then, viewers can get caught up on past seasons via Hulu.
