Christian Bale Plays Bongo Butt Drums in ‘American Hustle’ Trailer

I thought that Martin Scorsese had already made the great 1970s throwback gangster movie with Casino, but there’s one key thing he forgot – butt bongos.

David O. Russell’s fantastic looking period piece about a con artist forced by the feds to rat out the New Jersey mob is getting a lot of buzz, with the trailer already having over 1 million hits in just 24 hours. The film has a cast with some of today’s strongest actors including Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawerence all sporting some classic disco hair and threads. Bradley Cooper in curlers, ladies?

While the trailer looks great, the key standout is the snippet of Christian Bale using a woman’s butt as a bongo drum, which the internet naturally made into a GIF. The movie opens on Christmas Day.
