Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell, 46, died suddenly Saturday after an “accident” in Los Angeles, according to family and multiple media reports. She was married to Danish music producer and writer Carsten “Soulshock” Schack.

The couple have a young son, Nicolaj. Soulshock is well known in Denmark and in the music community, having produced and written for artists including Tupac, Whitney Houston, Usher, Brandy, JoJo and Fantasia.

Soulshock met his wife in the 1990s while he was working with the R&B group she was a part of, Brownstone.

Soulshock was born in 1968 in Aalborg, Denmark. He moved to the US in the 1990s.

3. Soulshock’s Partner Is Producer Kenneth Karlin

Soulshock formed the duo Soulshock and Karlin, producing and writing several songs together.
