After stepping away from his acting career in 2022 when he received a diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, Bruce Willis’s family has kept the world updated on his health. Whether sharing throwback videos or photos of Bruce in happier times, or just kicking back and enjoying time with his blended family, the Willis family has been incredibly open in sharing their confusion, grief, and uncompromising love with all his fans. So it is no surprise that three of his daughters and wife posted emotional and loving praise to celebrate the legendary actor on his 70th birthday.
His Wife and Oldest Daughter Shared Their Love and a Health Update
Rumer Willis, the 36-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore, first mentioned her dad in a March 18 Instagram Stories ‘Ask Me Anything” (AMA) when a fan asked how he was doing. “He’s doing great, thank you for asking. It is actually his 70th birthday tomorrow, so please wish my papa a big happy birthday.” The following day she posted a video of Moore and Willis doing a little dance inside Moore’s house, with the caption “To the King…I love you Daddio
Happy 70th Birthday papa.”
Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, posted an Instagram photo of Willis giving a thumbs-up in an ATV, but, instead of a heartwarming caption, she writes, “There’s no greater fan than a Bruce fan. So flood him with all the love today—he will feel it, I swear he will. You are one powerful bunch. I love how you rally for him, and I’m so grateful that he has you.” Just as she hoped, Willis’s fans flooded the comments with happy birthday wishes, love, memes, and memories.
Scout Thanked Him for Her Musical Heritage
While Rumer and Emma kept their accolades to Willis pretty simple, two of his daughters were overwhelmed with emotions that needed to be shared. Scout LaRue Willis, 33 years old, was in Nashville making a record, and it all came bursting forth in two Instagram posts. While the first was a simple collage of photos, the second found her deep in her feelings.
“I cried a lot this morning, because I’m a baddie and grief is non linear and I am so full of love,” she wrote. “Grief it’s the price I pay to get to feel this depth of love and I would never give my grief away. I’m in Nashville making a record right now and Im just so deeply aware that the music i make is a direct result of the musical education my dad made sure I got, Because it was his absolute joy to share what he loved with me.”
She declared herself her “father’s child,” “in love with life,” and “so full of feeling today.”
‘A Light That Can Never Be Dimmed’
Tallulah Belle Bruce Willis is Moore and Willis’s youngest child and, until Mabel and Evelyn were born, was the ‘baby’ of the family. The 31-year-old shared three Instagram photos: one of Willis from “Die Hard,” a second of Willis and Tallulah, and a third showing her lounging on a couch in a “Willis” baseball shirt, declaring it “her favorite team to root for.”
Tallulah shared memories of her dad, writing “…this Jersey boy, who combed my hair in baths, and always made sure I layed a towel down before eating on his bed, and is known far and wide as the Corn Cake King to our safe circle of intimates.”
She referred to all the characters her dad has played, and, despite many thinking he was larger than life, to her, he was just dad, “He’s a person, a man, a son, a kid from Jersey,” she wrote. She signed off by telling the world she’s “pretty damn proud to be Tallulah Belle Bruce Willis.”
