Brittany Snow Reveals How Her Mom Reacted to Steamy ‘The Hunting Wives’ Scenes

Brittany Snow has some racy scenes on Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives,” and she shared her mom’s reaction on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

“My mom, she has a group of women that are sort of her friends for life, and they’re called ‘The Playgroup,'” Snow told the host.

She continued, “And they all gather around and they watch things that I’m in. And so this was a very interesting party for them with their wine coolers and their cheese boards.”

Mimicking her mom’s friends watching her scenes from “The Hunting Wives,” Snow quipped, “Oh, we’ve got to fast forward through that. Nope! We’re going to fast forward. Oh, we have to fast foward again.”

“So I don’t really know if they watched the show necessarily,” Snow joked.

Snow Was Initially Nervous About Starring in ‘The Hunting Wives’

“The Hunting Wives” revolves around Snow’s character, Sophie, and her new Texan friends, who have a lot of secrets and steamy romances.

The actor told Collider in an interview published on July 27 that while she was riveted after reading the script, she was also hesitant about her role.

“I was scared and nervous about a lot of the things that happened in it, but I usually have a rule of thumb where, if I am very nervous about something and it’s something that I’ve never done before, then I probably should investigate it further to find out if that’s something that I should explore and do,” Snow said.

As for the racy parts, she shared, “And then, in terms of the sexuality and the intimate scenes, I really felt safe because we had a female-led crew, all of our directors were female, and Rebecca Cutter, our showrunner, is a very strong woman who’s supremely intelligent.”

Snow, who shares many scenes with Malin Ackerman, said, “Malin and I became really close friends because we were so vulnerable with each other in so many different aspects of the script and shooting the scenes. We just really became very close, and I relied on her a lot, in terms of my confidence with those types of scenes.”

Snow and Ackerman Had a Post-Work Ritual

Snow and Ackerman grew close while filming “The Hunting Wives” together, and the “Pitch Perfect” star revealed how the two would unwind after work.

“We would get these huge turkey sandwiches that were the size of our faces, and we would each have a turkey sandwich and a margarita and just laugh and debrief about the day,” Snow told People.

She added, “A couple of times we even took our lines to try to memorize them while we were eating, which didn’t always work out.”

“It was so helpful to be able to feel comfortable and safe with someone on and off set, and that really added to our chemistry and to our dynamic. I think that shows onscreen,” Snow said.
