Bridgerton Season 4: Everything We Know

If you haven’t watched season 3 of “Bridgerton” (or any season for that matter), go pop like eight bags of popcorn and get to bingeing (it’s worth your time). Then come back for all the latest news about the upcoming season 4 of Netflix’s ridiculously popular period piece, which has taken the streaming giant by storm.

Who Will Be the Focus of ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4?

The show, created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal”), quickly became a pop culture landmark.

In fact, the Regency-set romance drama broke records when it debuted in 2020. Since then, its popularity has only grown into historic territory when its third season debuted last year.

So, what can we expect from the upcoming season? Of course, fans can recall the love story of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), in season 1. Season 2 followed the tried-and-true arc of enemies turned lovers of Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), and season 3 followed the journey between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) as they successfully went from friends to lovers.

So, whose love story will fans follow in season 4? Wait for it….Benedict! After months of speculation, according to Netflix, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) will be the lead character as he navigates his own love story with the beautiful Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The pair meet during Lady Bridgerton’s famous masquerade ball, which takes place in the first episode of the new season.

Will the New Season of ‘Bridgerton’ Come Out in 2025?

According to Netflix, season 4 of “Bridgerton” will consist of eight episodes shot at the Shepperton Studios outside of London. The filming set has expanded over the seasons to include about two acres full of replicas of Georgian and Regency architecture, including homes, buildings, Mayfair Street, and much, much more.

But all the eagerness to dive back into the world of “Bridgerton” will have to wait, as, unfortunately, there isn’t a release date yet. However, fans should be happy to know that filming has not only started but was fast-tracked to begin production just months after the release of season 3.

Whether or not season 4 does or doesn’t drop in 2025 is anyone’s guess. Fingers crossed on the former; however, one thing fans can be sure of is that it will be worth the wait.
