Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is cooking up more than just culinary masterpieces. The Food Network star has confirmed his new romance with a Top Chef winner, turning a long-time friendship into a love story.
Bobby Flay Didn’t Have Instant Chemistry With His New Girlfriend
Flay has confirmed his new romance with Food Network’s Brooke Williamson. She was the winner of Top Chef season 14 and his co-star on Bobby’s Triple Threat. Their chemistry wasn’t instant, though. Williamson split from her ex-husband Nick Roberts two years ago, and their divorce was finalized in 2024.
Flay and Williamson were just friends for years. But their dynamic suddenly changed after she split from Roberts.
“They have been friends for a while and recently decided to jump in,” a source told People. “Her divorce last year probably gave them some additional shared experiences and over the last few weeks, love bloomed.”
Williamson, who shares a son with Roberts, and Flay, a dad to daughter Sophie, 28, apparently found common ground beyond the kitchen.
A Sweet Surprise At No Kid Hungry

In early April, Williamson and actor Jeff Bridges were honored at the No Kid Hungry Dinner in Los Angeles. The theme of the event was “Restoring hope: Feeding Kids in the Wake of the LA Wildfires,” and Flay showed his support in a big way by flying in to surprise his new love.
According to the insider, Flay’s gesture was “very sweet. Williamson’s Instagram lit up with photos from the event, which she captioned “best night ever.”
Before his romance with Williamson, Flay was in a three-year relationship with Christina Pérez. However, they called it quits in June 2024.
Bobby Flay’s New Romance Doesn’t Need ‘Documentation’
After splitting from Pérez, Flay opened up about love on Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast. Flay has been married three times. From 1991 to 1993, he was married to fellow chef Debra Ponzek. From 1995 to 98, he was married to TV host Kate Connelly.
After his second divorce, Flay moved on with “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star Stephanie March. The chef and the actress dated for four years before tying the knot in February 2005. They split a decade later amid claims that he was unfaithful. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
“I would be interested in a life partner for sure. But I don’t think it necessarily needs the documentation,” he told Cavallari, reflecting on his three marriages.
“Once you sign a document that says, ‘You are now together,’ there’s something that changes. When you try to explain that to people who have never been married, they don’t know what you’re talking about. They’re like, ‘What’s the difference?’ And I’m like well, there is a difference but I can’t really put my finger on it.”
Flay and Williamson will both appear in the new season of “Bobby’s Triple Threat,” which has already been filmed and is set to air in late 2025.
