Disney Legend Admits to Voicing Gaston’s Eggs in ‘Beauty and the Beast’

It turns out that during Gaston’s legendary egg-guzzling scene in “Beauty and the Beast,” the slurping, chomping, and general chaos happening with all those eggs wasn’t just some random sound effect. Nope. It was voiced (yes, I said voiced) by none other than Disney Legend, Bill Farmer, the iconic voice of Goofy.

In a recent interview with Joe Vulpis of Lightweights Podcast, Farmer casually dropped the bombshell that when Gaston bragged about eating five dozen eggs to get “roughly the size of a barge,” it was Bill in the studio making all those egg-eating noises. And it somehow makes that whole chaotic scene even better.

So how did Goofy’s voice actor end up embodying Gaston’s eggs? Well, according to Farmer (seen below), it was pretty simple: Disney needed someone to perform the “egg swallowing sounds” — and who better to deliver goofy, exaggerated eating noises than the Goofy himself?

Farmer, being the pro he is, stepped into the booth, cranked out those slimy, protein-packed effects, and called it a day.
