Just because you can hang outside all summer doesn’t mean you have to. Movies are a great way to escape the humdrum lives we live.

Here are a selection of sure to be talked about shows coming to a small screen near you.


“Ironheart” (Disney+, June 24)

This miniseries picks up where “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” leaves off as Riri Williams takes on the mantle of Ironheart with the help of a suit built by Tony Stark.


“The Bear” – Season Four (June 25, FX/Hulu)

Return to The Beef, where Carmy and his coworkers are dysfunctional in the world of fine dining.


“Squid Game” – Season Three (June 27, Netflix)

The South Korean phenomenon comes to a conclusion that will be deadlier than ever.


“Smoke” (Apple TV+, June 27)

Taron Egerton returns to Apple’s streaming platform for an arson mystery that will surely set everything ablaze. 


“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” – Season 17 (July 9, FXX/Hulu)

The show that’s older than any other sitcom to ever exist comes back to be raunchy at “Abbott Elementary.”


“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” – Season three (July 17, Paramount+)

Captain Pike and the crew return to explore the galaxy.


“Washington Black” (July 23, Hulu)

Sterling K. Brown returns to Hulu as a producer with the story of a Barbados slave fleeing to freedom.


“Twisted Metal” – Season Two (July 31, Peacock)

Let the games begin as the video game series turned live action comedy starts a New Game+.


“Chief Of War” (August 1, Apple TV+)

Jason Mamoa and Apple join forces again to follow the true events of the Western colonization of Hawaiian islands.


“Alien: Earth” – August 12 (FX)

Noah Hawley brings Xenomorphs to Earth in a prequel to Ridley Scott’s “Alein” movies.
