Ben Affleck ‘Casually Dating’ After Lopez Divorce: Report

Ben Affleck is said to be “casually dating” following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. The “Argo” star is easing back into the dating scene, a source told People magazine in a report published on February 21.

“Ben’s casually dating. This doesn’t seem to be a focus though,” the source shared, adding that Affleck is “really”very focused on work.”

“If he’s not filming, he spends long days at his office,” the source continued.

Affleck has also been spending time with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and the former couple’s kids, Seraphina and Samuel. Their daughter, Violet, is currently enrolled in college on the east coast.

Affleck and Lopez’s divorce has been finalized.

Lopez may or may not be dating again, as she’s been focusing more on loving herself and being on her own.

“You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, ‘I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that,'” Lopez told Interview magazine in an article published in October 2024.

“Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself,” she added.

She has been socializing, however, and was seen at the same hotspot as actor Kevin Costner back in December 2024. Though some dating rumors started swirling, the two haven’t been seen together since.

For the time being, Lopez is focused on her career and her two children, Max and Emme (with ex-husband Marc Anthony), who turned 17 on February 23.

Lopez and Affleck are navigating post-divorce life in different ways.

While Affleck is supposedly putting himself back out there and trying to meet new people, per People magazine’s source, Lopez appears to be taking a different route.

TMZ reported that the mega star snatched up a two-plus acre estate in the Hidden Hills. The home, which was listed for $21 million, features a barn on property, a movie theater, and a gym. There’s a total of more than 10,000 square feet of living space, which is plenty of room for Lopez and her kids.

Meanwhile, as TMZ points out, the home that Affleck and Lopez purchased together remains on the market for some $61 million.
