“FUBAR” star Fabiana Udenio made a major faux pas while filming a kissing scene with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In an April 24 interview with Fox 11, she shared that while filming season 2 of “FUBAR” as Tally Brunner, she had to rehearse a scene with Schwarzenegger that required kissing.
After each time, Udenio had to reapply her makeup, so she requested that they fake it until they actually filmed.
“I guess we were shooting the scene, and I thought we were still rehearsing, so he comes in for the kiss and I just don’t,” she explained.
Udenio shared that when Schwarzenegger looked surprised, she tried to remind him that they weren’t going to kiss for real, and that’s when the “Terminator” star trolled her.
“He just went off saying, ‘Do you see what I have to go through? This is the first woman that refuses to kiss me!'” Udenio laughed.
She eventually realized that the cameras were indeed rolling, but the actress praised Schwarzenegger for rolling with her mistake.
The Cast of ‘FUBAR’ Loved Working With Schwarzenegger
Not everyone is lucky enough to work with Ah-nold, and Scharzenegger’s “FUBAR” castmates took advantage of it.
Milan Carter, who portrays CIA operative Barry, told Collider in May 2023 that the first thing he did was ask Schwarzenegger for industry tips.
He added, “But the cool thing is, sometimes you get nervous to ask people questions, and it’s like you want to be his peer and not just a fan, but the thing about Arnold is, everybody’s his peer.”
Roo portrayer, Fortune Feimster, said, “I was fascinated because we sat in the hallway right after our first scene, and he knew I did stand-up, so he started telling me all these stories about Milton Berle and all of the roasts that he would go to, and I mean these really iconic moments from that Hollywood history, you’re just captivated by it.”
Schwarzenegger Took On a Father-Figure Role on the Set of ‘FUBAR’
Schwarzenegger may have played Monica Barbaro’s father on “FUBAR,” but he became the younger cast’s role model on set.
“People come to the set and say, ‘Oh Daddy, oh Pops.’ I mean, I don’t know how to take that, because I see that I could be her father, when in reality, age-wise, I could actually be your grandfather,” he shared with Netflix in June 2023.
Barbaro shared, “Anytime there’s a lead of a show and he’s playing a father, of course you can fall into that role.”
She continued, “A nice, refreshing thing about working with Arnold was that he really was a scene partner and a fellow actor, and there was a lot of equality on our set. He’s also an executive producer of the show, [but] it never felt like he was the boss”
