Anne Hathaway Spotted with ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Love Interest

There is widespread excitement for the upcoming “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” This is, of course, because the original film remains extremely quotable and provides several iconic moments. Luckily, Anne Hathaway and most of the actors from the first film are returning. Now, she’s been seen with her reported love interest for the new sequel. 

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is currently in production and has been since June 2025. In addition to Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are set to return for the long-awaited sequel. It’s scheduled for release in 2026. 

Anne Hathaway Was Seen Filming with Her ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Love Interest

People who loved the original “Devil Wears Prada” film will recall that Hathaway’s character Andy was dating Nate. Nate was a chef who didn’t particularly love what the fashion industry had to offer. Now, she has a new beau for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”

According to PEOPLE, the new actor for her love interest is Patrick Brammall. Hathaway was seen in Brooklyn, New York, on August 5 filming scenes with him. In the photos from the set, they were holding hands as they walked down the street. 

Hathaway wore a blue dress and a big smile on her face for the scene. He donned a navy blue suit for the shoot. There are also photos of the two hugging while in character for the upcoming “Devil Wears Prada 2.”

This sighting comes after it was confirmed in July that Patrick Brammall had been selected to play the love interest in the new movie. The Australian actor is known for shows such as “Glitch,” “Colin from Accounts,” and “No Activity.”

What We Know About the Movie

The original “Devil Wears Prada” movie hit theaters in 2006 and was based on the Lauren Weisberger novel of the same name. In addition to Hathaway, Streep, Blunt, Tucci, and Brammall, there will be other new faces. 

According to Deadline, Kenneth Branagh is joining the cast and will play the husband of Streep’s Amanda Priestley. Fans will recall that she was going through a divorce in the first film. The cast will also include Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, and Simone Ashley. 

The premise of the film is said to revolve around Amanda Priestley as editor-in-chief, dealing with the challenges of the print industry. It arrives in theaters on May 1, 2026.
