Bonnie and Annalise Kiss on ‘How to Get Away With Murder’ Finale

Tonight’s season finale of How To Get Away With Murder was filled with twists, turns, and some shocking surprises. Fans are well aware of the fact that Annalise has had sexual tension with many of the show’s main characters, and tonight, Annalise and Bonnie shared a passionate kiss.

Early on in the episode, Bonnie walked in on Frank holding a gun up to his cheek– Annalise was yelling at him to pull the trigger, but Bonnie begged Frank to think about her and to release the weapon. She made it clear to Annalise how deeply she cares for Frank, and how far she’ll go to keep him safe. That very obvious affection, however, made Bonnie’s kiss with Annalise all the more surprising. And in response to the dramatic event, the Twittersphere exploded. Fans flocked to social media to express their feelings about the steamy make out, and the overwhelming consensus can be summed up in one word: confusion.

At the end of the day, it’s likely that Bonnie and Annalise’s kiss won’t change much. Annalise, after all, was reeling from a few particularly emotional days, and was clearly desperate for comfort– in true Annalise form, that desire manifested itself in a kiss.
