Love is in the air, and it’s no mystery from the Upside Down. “Stranger Things” star Mason Dye has popped the question to longtime girlfriend Carmen Joiner, turning their real-life romance into a picture-perfect engagement story.

They first revealed the proposal on Feb. 15 in a joint Instagram post featuring photos of Dye down on one knee, the couple sharing a kiss, and Carmen flashing her ring.
“Here’s to forever,” she captioned the post, which quickly drew celebratory comments from friends—including Stranger Things co-star Caleb McLaughlin, who wrote, “Woah congrats!”
The Couple Will Marry on Their 5th Anniversary
Carmen later revealed that she & Mason will tie the knot on Jun. 7, 2026, a date that’s very close to their hearts! It not only marks their wedding day but also their fifth anniversary together. The wedding will take place at the Wychmere Beach Club, the same scenic venue where they took their engagement photos.
“Still feels like a dream. Jun. 7 can’t come soon enough,” Carmen captioned a carousel of the romantic shoot on Instagram.
“& a huge thank you to @rebeccacastonguayphotography for the most perfect engagement shoot, we’ll be smiling at these forever.”
A Dreamy Destination Wedding by the Water
Speaking to People in an interview published Aug. 7, Carmen shared that choosing the beachside venue was all about blending fun, romance & location.
“When we started planning the wedding, we knew we wanted a destination in a fun place since our friends & family were from all over the states,” she said. “We also wanted something that felt coastal and romantic, something on the water, and somewhere all of our friends and family would be excited to visit.”
A Celebration of Love With Family & Friends
From the start of their engagement to the planning of their big day, Mason & Carmen have centered their relationship around connection, with each other & with those who matter to them the most.
“We’re so excited to make lifelong memories there with all of our favorite people,” Carmen told the outlet. “But most of all, we just can’t wait to finally be married!”
The couple’s love story is already well on its way to a beautiful next chapter, and fans can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
