Taylor Swift might be enjoying some downtime from her record-shattering Eras Tour—as shown in Travis Kelce’s recent Instagram post—but she’s clearly not hitting pause on her music career. The pop superstar was recently spotted filming what insiders are calling a “top-secret” music video in Los Angeles. The secrecy surrounding the shoot—including reports that the crew wasn’t even allowed to hear the song—has fans buzzing about the possibility of finally getting TS12.
Taylor Swift Films Music Video in Total Secrecy — Without Playing the Song
According to The U.S. Sun, Swift was on set in Los Angeles on Thursday working on a new music video—one so confidential that not even those working on the production were permitted to listen to the track.
“It was so top secret that those working on set were not even allowed to hear the song, only the beat,” a source told the outlet.
“Even though she’s been taking time off from touring and working a lot to spend time with Travis [Kelce], there are still projects she’s working on, which will no doubt please fans.”
This news only intensifies the fan speculation that Swift is preparing to release TS12—a yet-untitled album that many believe is being teased through cryptic Instagram posts by her Taylor Nation team. The posts appear to be counting up through her past albums, with fans expecting a reveal once the count reaches her most recent release.
Why Fans Think TS12 Could Drop Soon
Though The Tortured Poets Department was released just a few months ago in April 2024, Swift hasn’t gone a full year without releasing new music since 2016—and Swifties are feeling the withdrawal.
“I absolutely NEED the feeling of pressing play on a new Taylor album at midnight soon,” one fan wrote on X. Another posted, “I need a new Taylor Swift album right now. I’m so parched.” A third added, “I am so excited to see what this Taylor Swift countdown (or I guess count up?) leads to!!!”
And it’s not just a new album that fans are waiting for—Swift now owns the rights to her first six albums, having reportedly paid $360 million to reclaim her masters from Shamrock Holdings. The acquisition ended a years-long public battle with Scooter Braun, who originally bought the masters from Big Machine Label Group.
“All of the music I’ve ever made now belongs to me,” Swift shared in a statement on her website. “All my music videos, all the concert films. The album art and the photography. The unreleased songs. The memories. The magic and the madness. Every single era. My entire life’s work.”
