Suki Waterhouse Reveals How Tight Pants Put Her in the Hospital

While it would have been easy to attribute Suki Waterhouse’s absence from social media to being the mother of a toddler and being in the middle of a concert tour, that wouldn’t be quite accurate. Robert Pattinson’s fiancée took to X to clarify to her fans that the reason she’s been MIA has to do with the repercussions of wearing too-tight leather pants while performing.

Suki Waterhouse’s Too Tight Jeans Gave Her a Hernia

“‘Suki you never tweet anymore,'” Waterhouse wrote on X July 14. “Have you ever considered I wore pants so tight 6 months ago it caused a hernia & I’ve been too scared to tell you?” The “Daisy & The Six” star included a selfie and a photo of her performing in said pants.

In the selfie, Waterhouse is lying in a bed wearing the customary paper gown, with a vape pen in her lap. The concert photo was presumably taken during her tour for her newest album, “Memoir of a Sparklemuffin.” It shows the singer wearing a white crop top, long sequined trench coat, and form-fitting bedazzled leather pants.

While many of her fans were supportive, writing that they hoped she felt better soon, many couldn’t help but call out the vape pen.

“Vape in the hospital is diabolical,” wrote one fan. “So true,” Waterhouse wrote back. Another jokingly wrote, “Hey I gave my dad a hernia once x,” to which she responded, “Well done!!”

Waterhouse and Pattinson Have Been Relishing Parenthood

While Waterhouse blamed her social media absence on her hernia, she’s been quite active lately. She posted on X eight times in June, and her last post was on July 4.

On April 4, 2024, Waterhouse announced the birth of her and Pattinson’s daughter on Instagram. “Welcome to the world angel,” she wrote alongside a photo while she held her. While neither she nor Pattinson has revealed her name, their random comments show how much in love they are.

“We have a routine of putting her in the swimming pool, jumping in and out of the pool,” she told Today of her and Pattinson. “And that’s just always the most fun, end of the day, 5 pm, we all get in the pool and be silly. It’s amazing.”

“It’s just that love, just completely and utterly besotted. I didn’t know that it would be this good,” Waterhouse also said.

“I remember people used to be like ‘oh, don’t you like the smell of babies, but I thought they were just smelling the baby powder,” Pattinson told Vogue in January. “But then I had a baby, and I was like ‘my baby smells incredible.’ There’s something there, I can identify her. She doesn’t smell like other babies.”
