Sabrina Carpenter Raises Over $1 Million for Charity in Record Time

Sabrina Carpenter has achieved a major philanthropic milestone, raising over $1 million for charitable causes through her partnership with PLUS1 in under a year. The achievement was announced on Monday, June 30, making the Sabrina Carpenter Fund the fastest-growing artist initiative in PLUS1’s history.

The 26-year-old singer launched her fund alongside her Short n’ Sweet Tour, focusing on three causes that hold personal significance for her: mental health advocacy, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare. Her innovative approach to charitable giving has set a new standard for how artists can integrate social impact into their careers.

“Sabrina’s approach to philanthropy shows what’s possible when an artist truly commits to embedding impact across their work,” said PLUS1 CEO and founder Marika Anthony-Shaw in a statement. “Sabrina is setting a new standard, one where social impact becomes woven into an artist’s career to create meaningful, lasting change.”

Carpenter’s fund operates through a simple but effective model: $1 from every concert ticket sold goes directly toward supporting various organizations. During her Short n’ Sweet North American tour alone, she raised $824,000, according to Parade. The fund reached and surpassed the $1 million milestone during her European tour dates.

Supporting Meaningful Organizations

The Sabrina Carpenter Fund has provided financial support to numerous organizations aligned with her chosen causes. These include UK-based suicide prevention center PAPYRUS, which operates a 24/7 mental health crisis hotline, and Rainbow Railroad, a global nonprofit that assists LGBTQ+ individuals facing persecution.

Mental health initiatives have received significant attention through partnerships with the JED Foundation and MusiCares, both of which provide mental health resources to those in need. The fund has also supported the LGBTQ National Help Center’s crisis prevention efforts and Best Friends Animal Society’s animal rescue and adoption programs, according to Billboard.

Carpenter has taken a creative approach to fundraising beyond traditional ticket donations. Rolling Stone noted that her collaboration with Erewhon directed proceeds toward the JED Foundation, while she experimented with unique concepts, such as a “cuddle lounge” at her Salt Lake City concert, featuring adoptable animals. The singer has also partnered with jewelry brand Catbird on text-to-donate campaigns at venues.

Personal Connection to the Causes

In her statement about reaching the $1 million milestone, Carpenter expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to use her platform for positive change. “Less than a year ago, I launched a fund with PLUS1 around the Short n’ Sweet tour to help support some of the issue areas that matter most to me – mental health and animal welfare,” she shared with Forbes.

She continued: “I’m so grateful that I get to use my platform to amplify the work of incredible organizations like The Jed Foundation, PAPYRUS, and Rainbow Railroad. The work of these groups is truly life-changing – from The Jed Foundation’s focus on protecting teen mental health and preventing suicide, to PAPYRUS, which provides mental health support.”

Carpenter also acknowledged her fans’ role in achieving this milestone, thanking them for their continued support. “Thank you for always uplifting me, making me laugh & showing so many how special it is to be authentically yourself always,” she concluded.

On Instagram, Carpenter shared her heartfelt reaction to the achievement through her stories. “Can’t tell you how much this means. Partnering with @plusoneorg has been a dream,” she wrote.

The success of Carpenter’s charitable efforts has been amplified by strong social media engagement. Content related to the fund has garnered over 7.5 million views, driven by active participation from her fans and followers.

This philanthropic achievement comes during an active period in Carpenter’s career. Following the success of her breakthrough album “Short n’ Sweet” and the recent chart-topping single “Manchild,” she announced that her next album, “Man’s Best Friend,” will arrive on August 29.
