But the night’s most unexpected moment happened behind the scenes, when Kelly’s longtime boyfriend Sid Wilson, of Slipknot, dropped to one knee. In a video posted to Kelly’s Instagram, the intimate scene unfolded just after Ozzy’s monumental performance.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” read a statement from his family. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Osbourne had revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2020 and retired from touring in 2023 due to spinal injuries from a 2018 fall. Still, he returned to the stage for one final show that reunited Black Sabbath’s original members—Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—for the first time since 2005.

Kelly, 40, and Sid, 48, first met in 1999 through Ozzfest and began dating in 2022. They welcomed their son, Sidney, later that year. Reflecting on her father’s health and legacy in a recent interview, Kelly said, “My dad is not the way he used to be, since the Parkinson’s and surgeries and everything that happened. So I dedicate my life to spending as much time with him as I possibly can. He’s also, like, my best friend.”
