Ozzy Osbourne Promises ‘120 Percent’ for Final Black Sabbath Show

Ozzy Osbourne isn’t backing down. The legendary frontman of Black Sabbath, who has shaped the rock and metal scene for over six decades, is preparing to give fans a farewell they’ll never forget. The band is set to headline its final concert in Birmingham, UK. Osbourne revealed he is training relentlessly to ensure he delivers a performance worthy of his legacy.

Despite his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease and a lengthy recovery from spinal surgery, Osbourne has remained determined. On his Sirius XM show “Ozzy Speaks,” he recently told co-host Billy Morrison that he’s been working with a physical trainer to regain his strength and mobility.

Ozzy Osbourne Is Not Going Quietly

“I’ve got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal. It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me,” Osbourne said. “I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”

When Morrison asked if he ever stressed over what he’s missed in recent years, Osbourne responded candidly: “Sometimes, but what I do, if I start obsessing all the time, I’ll be insane by Friday. So I’m just taking it one day at a time. You know, when we were talking about this [obsessive-compulsive disorder], whatever. I have it badly.”

A Legendary Lineup for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Show

The upcoming “Back to the Beginning” show at Villa Park on July 5 is more than just a concert. It’s a celebration of Black Sabbath’s legacy and a tribute to the bands they’ve inspired.

Joining Osbourne on stage will be a powerhouse lineup including Metallica, Tool, Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, Lamb of God, Mastodon, and Pantera. Fans will also be treated to a unique “mashup of the bands,” featuring surprise appearances by members of Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Sleep Token, Limp Bizkit, and more.

“It’s all the people that we’ve influenced over the years,” Osbourne said of the stacked roster.

While he confirmed he won’t be performing a full set with Black Sabbath, Osbourne hinted at joining the band for a few songs. Many speculate he may also treat the crowd to solo hits and personal reflections during what could be his last time on stage.

As an added bonus for fans, a new documentary titled “No Escape From Now” is currently in production for Paramount+. The film will chronicle Osbourne’s recent health struggles and offer an inside look at his personal and professional life. Production is scheduled to begin at the Birmingham concert, capturing what could be Osbourne’s final live performance.

“All I can say is I’m giving 120 percent,” he said on the show. “If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it.”
