Ozzy Osbourne fans will get one final glimpse into the private life of the man they loved for decades. Just weeks after the death of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, BBC One will air a moving one-hour documentary titled “Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home.”
What Will Ozzy’s Documentary Be About?

The documentary follows Ozzy & his family, including wife Sharon and children Kelly and Jack, over three years as they pursue their long-held dream of returning to the UK.
It also captures his emotional push to get back on stage for one final performance in his hometown of Birmingham.
‘Coming Home’ Chronicles Ozzy’s Health Struggles & His Final Stage Appearance

Originally intended to be a docuseries called “Home to Roost,” the project evolved into a single-hour film after Ozzy’s health took a turn. Despite declining strength, the Black Sabbath frontman remained determined to perform one last time. The film documents the physical & emotional toll of preparing for that moment.
“Ozzy wanted to make it back to the UK and appear on stage one last time — our film is an inspiring and poignant account of him fulfilling that dream,” said executive producers Ben Wicks & Colin Barr, as reported by the BBC.

The final scenes were filmed just weeks before his death, with Ozzy appearing on stage at Birmingham’s Villa Park in a powerful homecoming moment.
Sharon, Kelly & Jack Osbourne Reflect in Emotional Family Documentary
The documentary features deeply personal reflections from Sharon, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne, along with never-before-seen family moments. “Iron Man wasn’t really made of iron,” daughter Kelly says in the film, capturing the vulnerability beneath her father’s larger-than-life persona.
BBC’s Clare Sillery called the documentary “an intimate glimpse” into the Osbourne family’s journey and Ozzy’s enduring spirit.
“It features family moments, humour, reflection and shows the enduring spirit that made Ozzy a global icon,” she said. “We hope it brings comfort and joy to Ozzy’s fans and viewers as they remember and celebrate his extraordinary life.”
When Will ‘Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home’ Air?
The special, airing August 18 at 21:00 BST and streaming on BBC iPlayer, promises an intimate glimpse into the final chapter of the icon’s life.
Ozzy’s Private Farewell Held at Family Home in Birmingham

Following Ozzy’s death on July 22, his family held a private farewell at their home in Birmingham. The residence was transformed into a heartfelt tribute space, filled with photographs from across his life. Each mourner received a photo of the late singer to take home, a personal touch that reflected the Osbournes’ desire to keep things intimate and meaningful.
Kelly Osbourne joined her mother, Sharon, in a procession through the city, wearing purple wire-rimmed glasses in tribute to her father’s signature style. Sharon, attending her first public appearance since Ozzy’s passing, appeared visibly emotional but surrounded by love.
As the world prepares to watch “Coming Home,” fans will be given one final, personal look at the man behind the music: a husband, father, and icon who gave everything until the very end.
