Miley Cyrus turned heads at Los Angeles’ iconic Chateau Marmont with a surprise performance to celebrate the release of her new album “Something Beautiful”.

Miley Cyrus Delivers 45-Minute Surprise Set

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the crowd arrived expecting an exclusive first listen to the album, set to drop on May 30, but at 7 p.m., cheers erupted as Cyrus emerged with her band for a live 45-minute set.

Dressed in a silver, old-Hollywood-style mini reminiscent of a 1920s flapper look—an ivory halter-neck dress adorned with glimmering teardrop crystals—Cyrus stole the limelight and rightly so!

“You like your style, and you love mine,” she quipped before launching into the first song of the evening, “More to Lose.” As per Yahoo, the setlist also included her latest single “Easy Lover,” the chart-topping “Flowers,” and fan-favorite “The Climb.” Backed by pianist Michal Pollack, guitarist Jonathan Rado, and drummer and boyfriend Maxx Morando.

The Performance Was ‘Deeply Personal’ for Cyrus

The performance was deeply personal for Cyrus, who opened up between songs about her journey from teen idol to seasoned artist. According to Billboard, Miley said, “The fans in the room have stuck with me through all the many changes.” She reflected on nearly 20 years since the release of Hannah Montana. Her mom, Tish, and sister, Brandi, were also in attendance to share the moment.

“Playing these nights at Chateau, they were invite-only, super exclusive, just my closest friends and my family and this was the way I discovered the album,” Cyrus shared, according to Billboard. “Because if it can’t stand up with me [and my band], then what are we even doing?”

The upcoming album also marks a strong visual chapter for the star. “The visual component of this is driving the sound,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in November 2024. “It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties.”

With the album dropping May 30 and a companion film arriving in June, “Something Beautiful” is becoming one of Cyrus’s most personal and creatively daring periods so far.
