Kate Cassidy posted a very emotional TikTok video on March 20, detailing one of her final moments with Liam Payne before the singer tragically died in October 2024.
In it, the influencer is packing up and organizing some items in boxes, which she explains she has been “dreading opening these boxes and going through things because they are kind of the things that I had in the last couple of months and weeks with Liam.”
In one of the boxes, Cassidy came across a yellow gown she wore to a wedding with Payne in Paris. She also revealed that this was the very first wedding she had ever attended.
“This dress actually brings me so much peace and comfort because it’s the memory that me and Liam had in this dress was just a memory that I will literally never forget,” Cassidy explained in the video.
“We just had the best time,” she added. “And the best part about this is in another box, I found these shoes and I remember the next morning, I woke up and I said to Liam, ‘Oh my God, look at my shoes! They are so ruined. I don’t know what to do with them.’ And when I tell you, these shoes were almost new when I wore them this night. And we just literally danced the night away. We were dancing all night, walking around this venue exploring.”
“I just can’t even believe I didn’t throw these out,” Cassidy continued. “And I’m so happy… This memory is embedded in these shoes.”
Kate Cassidy Was With Liam Payne a Couple Days Before His Death
Cassidy and Payne spent a few weeks in Argentina together before she departed just a few days before his death, TMZ reported.
The two arrived on September 30 for their vacation, but Cassidy flew back to the United States on October 14. In a TikTok video, Cassidy explained that she had a great time on the trip but was ready to return home because she didn’t like staying in one place for too long. The trip was supposed to last five days, but it ended up being for two weeks.
As for Payne, he stayed behind and two days later, the singer passed away after falling from a hotel balcony.
Kate Cassidy Admits It’s Been ‘Hard to Accept’ Liam Payne’s Death
In an interview with ITV’s Lorraine on March 5, Cassidy candidly discussed how she’s been doing since Payne’s death.
“It’s hard for me to refer to him in the past tense, and when I do refer to him in the past tense it almost stings that little bit more because it just… it’s more official,” she explained. “I find myself talking about him so much in the present tense, and it’s something where I don’t even feel the need to correct myself, because that’s part of my healing journey that I’m still working on accepting the fact he’s not here any more.”
