Kelly Clarkson Surprises Fans With New Single ‘Where Have You Been’

Kelly Clarkson is back, better than ever, and is bringing new music with her! The Grammy-winning singer and talk show host surprised fans on Wednesday, May 1, by announcing the release of her new single, “Where Have You Been.” The track premiered exclusively on SiriusXM’s “The Kelly Clarkson Connection” (Channel 12), where Clarkson also shared commentary about the long-awaited song.

“Surprise! My song is available now on @siriusxm only on my channel, “The Kelly Clarkson Connection,” channel 12! #WhereHaveYouBeen,” Clarkson wrote in a video post on Instagram. She had previously shared an image of herself, in what looks to be an album cover, on April 18, with the caption, “Soon…”

This time around, with an exciting video, she told fans: “All right, y’all, for the first time ever—a whole day early—on the Kelly Clarkson Connection SiriusXM channel, I’m going to be playing my new single ‘Where Have You Been.’ I hope you dig it!”

“Where Have You Been” is Clarkson’s first non-holiday release since her 2023 studio album “Chemistry.” The album explored the complexities of heartbreak, personal healing, and growth after her public and complicated divorce from Brandon Blackstock. While Clarkson has remained active through her daytime talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the new single marks her official return to the music world.
