Katy Perry is currently embarking on a world tour to support her latest album, “143.” This comes as she is also dealing with the fallout of her much-talked-about split from Orlando Bloom. Recently, the singer became emotional on stage while singing a song that seemed to mirror her current love life.
According to PEOPLE, Katy Perry’s tour stopped at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on July 15. Notably, she has a “choose your own adventure” segment, which allows fans to pick the songs she sings. That night, they selected “Not Like The Movies” from her popular “Teenage Dream” album.
For context, the song is about real-life relationships not being all they’re cracked up to be in the movies. She said at the concert, “You’re gonna make me sing this song in this time in my life? OK, we’ll do it! Because you voted for it.”
Katy Perry then joked that she would “try and hold my composure while I sing it a week before my period.”
They Have Confirmed Their Split
Reports began to circulate in June that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom had gone their separate ways. There were signs, but not official confirmation from the involved parties. However, according to Billboard, reps for both stars confirmed the split in early July.
They stated in a press release to the music outlet, “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.”
The statement continued, “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter [Daisy Dove] with love, stability and mutual respect.” The breakup came after Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry began dating in 2016. Their daughter was born in 2020.
Katy Perry’s Tour Is Ongoing
Katy Perry’s “The Lifetimes Tour” kicked off in April 2025 in Mexico City. The tour includes songs from “143” as well as many of her classic hits. In total, the setlist features a reported 20 songs and lasts up to two hours.
According to Ticketmaster, Katy Perry’s latest tour is expected to last until November 7. Its final stop will be at the LDLC arena in Décines-Charpieu, France. However, regarding US dates, the final show is scheduled for August 23 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
