Latin Music Star Announces New Single & Era

Colombian singer, Carolina Giraldo Navarro, better known as Karol G, is officially entering her new era. 

On May 21, Karol G took to Instagram to share she has a new single coming. Fans were in for a surprise as the singer also announced the new song is set to be released on May 22.

Fans took on the comments section to share their support and excitement for the new release.

“I already know this is going to be a verano [summer] anthem!” one person wrote.

“Best news in the world,” another fan wrote.

Karol G Shares Her Story

The news comes shortly after her new documentary “Tomorrow Was Beautiful”, which premiered on Netflix on May 8.

As Billboard reported, Karol G shared with Billboard Español, on the red carpet ahead of the documentary’s premiere on May 6 in New York City, how special the documentary is to her and to her fans.

“This is a very special piece for my fans. It’s an opportunity to show people who Carolina is, beyond just Karol G,” the singer told Billboard Español .

“Watching the documentary gave me the chance to reflect on the incredible journey I’ve had as a person— in the way I think, and even changes physically,” Karol G said. “I feel like it all started when I had blue hair, and then came the whole process with red hair, blonde hair and finally pink hair. I can see how my mindset evolved, how my sense of responsibility and commitment to my fans grew, and even how I view myself physically. I also feel that the beautiful kind of self-love you start to develop begins to blossom and becomes more noticeable.”

The day following the documentary’s release, the Karol G shared with fans it was in first-place in 19 countries around the world and in the top 10 in eight other countries such as Italy, Switzerland and Portugal.

Support quickly built up in the comments section as fans shared supportive words for the “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” singer.
