Justin Bieber held nothing back in his latest Instagram Story. On March 13, Bieber’s message to his millions of fans was one that dealt with self-worth.
“People told me my whole life ‘wow Justin u deserve that’ and I personally have always felt unworthy,” the 31-year-old artist wrote, according to E! News. “Like I was a fraud. Like when people told me I deserve something it made me feel sneaky like damn if they only knew my thoughts.”
“How judgemental I am, how selfish I really am,” he added. “They wouldn’t be saying this. I say this all to say, if you feel sneaky welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”
The message comes as concerns surrounding his health continue to grow. Bieber’s most loyal fans appear to be showing him lots of love after his emotional post.
“Justin, you’re not alone,” one fan wrote, according to Hola!. “We all struggle with self-doubt, but you’ve accomplished so much. We love you.”

Justin Bieber Rose To Stardom In 2009
Circa 2008, Bieber was discovered by producer Scooter Braun and R&B icon Usher via YouTube. Bieber had been posting covers of popular songs on the platform. Bieber was just 15 years old when his debut EP, “My World,” dropped in late 2009 — known for its singles “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl.” In 2010, his debut studio album, “My World 2.0,” served as a more formal introduction to the singer, producing the ubiquitous “Baby” hit. Suddenly, Bieber was everywhere!
In his YouTube special “Justin Bieber: Next Chapter,” he opened up about how difficult it was to navigate fame at such an early age.
“When I was 15… I was so surrounded. Millions of people in the audience, but I still felt lonely. I still felt misunderstood. I still felt hurt,” he said in the YouTube special, according to Yahoo! Entertainment. “I just had no idea what was to come. I had no idea that this life would take me by storm. I had no idea that I would get sucked up by all of this stuff.”
He added, “There were so many people who were just so mean. Random people saying like, ‘You suck! You look like a girl!’ I would shake it off and act like it didn’t bother me, but that stuff bothered me. And then it affected how I acted and how I treated other people, and it’s just this ongoing cycle of, like, hurt people, hurt people. I was just this young kid.”
