On Sunday, June 8, Justin Bieber stumped his fans by posting a confusing subliminal message to his Instagram page. The mysterious note was found in the caption of a set of close-up, blurred black-and-white selfies.
In it, Bieber declared, “Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love.”
The note sent fans into a frenzy of speculation in the post’s comments as they tried to guess who the mysterious message was about. “The industry fails yet another good one,” said one follower.
However, some fans chose to simply leave the “Lonely” singer some support. One wrote, “You are loved by us, the real Beliebers,” referencing the long-time nickname for the popstar’s fanbase.
Another fan implored the public to “stop shaming” Bieber for sharing his thoughts, and called him “real and admirable” for the vulnerable post.
Justin Bieber Said He’s Tired of Being Told to ‘Work Harder’
Along with the puzzling message about relationships, Bieber shared more of his inner thoughts with his fans in a series of posts to his Instagram Stories.

Along with picture of himself frowning and clutching his forehead, the two-time Grammy winner wrote, “This is how I feel after people keep telling me there’s more work to do after I’ve given everything I have to give.”
He went to vent, “I don’t think any of us can handle hearing ‘You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me.’ It’s not true.”
He then called the people who told him to work harder “fools” before adding, “There’s no end to trying to earn your spot in this life because I tried. U have everything you need right now.”
The father of one, who welcomed a son with wife Hailey Bieber in August 2024, didn’t specify to whom the message was directed, but made it clear that he’s disgruntled about something.
He then shared two photos of his May 2025 performance of “Snooze” with SZA before sharing a clip of Chris Brown dancing hitting some dance moves and writing, “MOOD!”
Justin Bieber Promised New Website for Fashion Brand Is Coming Soon
Also on June 8, the pop prince promoted his new apparel brand, SKYLRK, captioning a post of designs, “@SKYLRK WEBSITE LOADING.” Another post about the brand teased a neon collection of beanies, sunglasses, hoodies, and slippers.
The collection featured creatively named colors such as “Gum,” “Fizz,” and one which appears to pay homage to Bieber’s son, Jack Blues Bieber, called “Blues Blue.”
The “Baby” singer first announced SKYLRK on April 1, 2025 and used a dramatic promotional clip to reveal he was cutting ties with his former fashion endeavor, Drew House.
