Jessica Simpson is the newest addition to the list of celebrities who have peed their pants on stage, and she’s handling it like a pro. Plus, as Billy Madison once said, “You ain’t cool unless you pee your pants!”

According to Page Six, the “Take My Breath Away” singer lost bladder control and accidentally let loose during her live performance on the “Today” show on Wednesday.

Simpson wowed the crowd with a powerful medley performance as part of the NBC breakfast show’s summer concert series. The singer commanded the stage with such energy and confidence that many viewers barely noticed the brief on-air mishap.

The outlet reported that the “Irresistible” singer headed backstage after her performance and candidly shared the incident with those in the greenroom.

Jessica Simpson Isn’t the Only One Who Peed On Stage

Interestingly, Simpson isn’t the only artist who accidentally wet themselves while performing. Page Six noted that it’s actually a common occurrence.

Other celebrities who experienced the same onstage bathroom mishap include Pattie Labelle, Fergie, Joe Jonas, Ed Sheeran, and Hugh Jackman.

This isn’t the first time Simpson relieved herself in public. In 2023, the singer shared a photo of herself on Instagram, seemingly peeing in the corner of a tent.

“When you gotta go, you gotta go,” Simpson captioned the post at the time. “Set life.”

Simpson Suffers a Wardrobe Malfunction Too

Apparently, accidentally peeing her pants isn’t the only mishap Simpson encountered during her live TV performance. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 45-year-old singer kept her cool after suffering a wardrobe malfunction on stage.

While Simpson was mid-performance, her corset top slipped down slightly, revealing her pink bra. The singer handled the wardrobe malfunction with composure, quickly readjusting her top.

After the performance, Simpson laughed off the incident.

“Of course, I have a malfunction here and everywhere,” she told the “Today” hosts. “But it’s okay. I think my boob stayed in, so that’s good.”

Simpson returned to the “Today” stage for the first time since 2006. The singer surprised fans with songs from her new album, “Nashville Canyon Pt. 1,” which came out in March.

“I felt just a calling to just use my voice again in a whole different way,” Simpson told the hosts. “I was working on the collection for so long, and still am. But I don’t know. There is just something inside of me that always has to sing, and now I’m ready to be doing it on stage in front of people again.”
