Janet Jackson Makes Rare Appearance to Support Her Family

Janet Jackson made a rare public appearance in England to support her brothers, Jackie and Marlon Jackson, during their live performance at the Heritage Live music festival on Saturday, July 19.

The 59-year-old singer was spotted backstage at The Jacksons’ show in Reading, where she watched alongside her 8-year-old son, Eissa.

Later in the show, Jackie, 74, and Marlon, 68, brought their sister out on stage for a surprise appearance. Janet, dressed casually in a green jacket and flared jeans, wore her hair in a sleek bun as she waved to the crowd.

The official Heritage Live Instagram account posted a photo of the siblings on stage together, writing, “What a privilege it was to have a very rare appearance by @JanetJackson when she joined her brothers on stage last night at the @EnglefieldEstate and what a performance @TheJacksons gave us! A real treat!”

Fans immediately took to the comments to share their excitement over the appearance, with one user writing, “I WAS THERE AND WAS ON THE FRONT ROW NO REGRETS!!!” and another adding, “I’m so happy for her to reunite with her brothers. I’m so touched.”

A Family Moment Fans Won’t Forget

Following the performance, Janet shared several behind-the-scenes clips from the night. In one video, she expressed her joy at seeing her brothers perform.

“Words can’t express how much your nephew and I enjoyed tonite,” she wrote. “It was so good seeing both of you as usual. God bless you on your journey. We love you so much.”

The moment marked one of only a few public sightings of Janet and her son this year. It was also a sentimental nod to the legacy of the Jackson family, which includes siblings Rebbie, Jermaine, La Toya, Randy, the late Michael Jackson, and Tito Jackson, who passed away on Sept. 15, 2024.

Family members gathered last November to honor Tito at his memorial service, held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. Michael Jackson’s children, Paris and Bigi, were also in attendance, alongside other relatives including La Toya and Jermaine’s sons, Jaafar and Jermajesty Jackson.

Earlier this year, Janet celebrated her sisters Rebbie and La Toya’s birthday with a throwback Instagram photo, writing, “I miss you both tremendously and love you incredibly!!!! Have an amazing special day!!! 😘😘😘 your little sister 🥰.”

One of Janet’s most recent public outings came on July 7, when she was photographed with R&B singer Maxwell at the 1,500th performance of “Cabaret” at London’s Playhouse Theatre. While fans speculated about a possible romance, Janet later confirmed to People that the two are “just friends.”

The music legend is currently performing a residency at Resorts World Las Vegas, which is scheduled to wrap in September.
