The entertainment world is currently reeling from the tragic loss of Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan, both of whom died in the same week in July 2025. However, this sad fact isn’t the only link between these two legends of music and sports. Way back in 1986, the two shared a stage at Wrestlemania II.

As The Express reported, the two stars were there for very different reasons. For his part. Hogan was defending his title against King Kong Bundy, treating fans to an exciting cage match in the process. Osbourne’s role in the event wasn’t quite as high-flying, but it was still very memorable for fans.


Osbourne Helped Manage The British Bulldogs For a Tag-Team Match

Rockers making an appearance at wrestling matches was common in the 1980s, especially for big events like Wrestlemania. In 1986, Osbourne was there managing The British Bulldogs, alongside their captain, Lou Albano. In a throwback fan video from the event, the “Black Sabbath” frontman can be seen just outside the ring in a pink suit.

In the end, The British Bulldogs bested The Dream Team, and Osbourne started a long relationship with the organization that would become the WWE.


Both Stars Are WWE Hall of Famers

Although only Hogan set foot in the ring, both stars share the unique distinction of being WWE Hall of Fame inductees. In a statement the WWE released after Osbornue’s death, the organization that the rocker’s induction took place in 2021. The WWE called him “a true legend in every aspect” and offered condolences to his family in the statement.

Hogan has the unusual status of being a two-time inductee. He was first inducted in 2005 for his efforts as a solo wrestler. However, as ESPN reported, Hogan received this honor a second time in 2020, this time as part of nWo (New World Order), an unforgettable group that emerged in 1996.

Both performers were in their 70s when they passed away, and tributes have poured in from family, fans, and many of the celebrities they worked with over the years. They have left an indelible mark on the WWE and the entertainment world as a whole.
