On April 20, Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus went Instagram official with their relationship in an Instagram post shared by the “Serving Sara” star on April 20.
The pic showed the two sharing a kiss on Easter Sunday, with Hurley wearing a hat and Cyrus with a bunny ear headband on his head.
A source told Page Six on April 21 of the surprising reveal, “They’ve been friends for a long time and both found themselves single at the same time.”
“The romantic side started only a few weeks ago,” the insider added.
Hurley & Cyrus Met on the Set of a Movie in 2022
While Hurley and Cyrus’ pairing may seem surprising, the two actually met on the set of the 2022 film, “Christmas in Paradise,” per People.
“Liz is great and visited him for Easter. They’ve been seeing each other romantically for a little bit,” a source told the publication.
The insider continued, “And how lucky is he? Liz is lovely. She’s very warm, positive, and the best to be around.”
“They had a great time shooting that movie together — it was beautiful and relaxed, and it really stuck with him,” the source said.
Back in 2022, Hurley told Movie Web of working with Cyrus, “[THe] opportunity to work with Billy Ray, whom I’ve long been a fan of — my son was the age where he used to watch ‘Hannah Montana’ all the time, so of course, I used to watch it with him.”
Hurley added, “I knew Billy Ray really well from that, and of course, some of his music. That was a big plus.”
Hurley Hinted at a Relationship With Cyrus Weeks Ago
Weeks before Hurley hard-launched her relationship with Cyrus, she left an Easter egg on her Instagram timeline with an April 9 Instagram reel of her frolicking in the ocean. Her song of choice to accompany the video was Cyrus’ song, “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.”
“The most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives,” Hurley captioned. A fan replied, “I love that you used this song as your own private message to your new love. that’s why you are glowing!!”
In the video, the “Bedazzled” star is seen blowing kisses to the camera while enjoying a sunset swim on the beach.
Fans expressed their surprise at Hurley and Cyrus’ newfound romance. “Elizabeth Hurley, and…..Billy Ray Cyrus are dating. Weird timeline we live in, to be sure,” an X user shared.
