Ed Sheeran gave fans the ultimate surprise on the opening night of his “+−=÷×” tour, better known as the “Mathematics Tour”.
The “Thinking out Loud” singer was joined by Tori Kelly as they took on the stage at Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid on May 30 to sing their collaboration, “I Was Made For Loving You”.
Kelly took to her Instagram to share how special the moment was and unveiled the track was written back in 2012.
“THANK YOU MADRID!! you were incredible!🇪🇸,” Kelly wrote in the caption of the post, “& we finally got to play our song live for the first time ever since we wrote it in 2012! what a way to kick off the tour♥️”
Fans took to the comments section to share their excitement.
“This song is a treasure 🥹💜,” one fan commented. “I can’t believe you are doing this for the first time live!! so so surreal to hear this from the two of you!!”

Tori Kelly Shares her Excitement for the Tour
Kelly is on the road with Sheeran in support of his “Mathematics Tour” as she is one of his special guests. The tour is set to wrap up on Sept 7 in Dusseldorf.
Last year, Kelly shared on her Instagram how special it is for her to be joining Sheeran on the road.
“From meeting Ed 12 years ago (the same day we wrote “I was made for loving you”) to being an opener on his stadium tour🥹,” Kelly shared in the caption, “full circle moment.”
She went on to thank Sheeran for his kindness and support over the years.
“I look up to u so much,” she finished the post, “excited & honored ♡.”

Sheeran and Kelly’s collaboration, “I Was Made For Loving You”, was included in her “Unbreakable Smile” album released in 2016. The track is among Kelly’s most streamed songs on Spotify as it has garnered over 290 million streams.
Fans are now looking forward to seeing both singers in Europe as they have over 20 dates left in the tour.
