Defying age with every step and sparkle, Cher, 79, proved once again that time has nothing on her. The pop icon lit up Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda event in Rome on July 12 with a show-stopping performance. The videos and photos show a series of jaw-dropping wardrobe changes that had the crowd buzzing.

The “Dancing With the Stars” guest judge took the stage on Via Veneto, one of Rome’s most legendary streets, opening the star-studded celebration with signature flair, fashion, and fearlessness.
A Night of Fashion, Music & Signature Cher Glamour
The “Believe” singer brought a whole spectacle to the stage, cycling through a series of standout ensembles — and hairstyles. She began her set in a platinum blonde wig styled in waves, a likely nod to the look from her 2001 hit “Song for the Lonely,” which she performed at the event.
Cher paired her icy hair with an olive green jumpsuit under a sparkly corset, blending glam with a military edge.
Halfway through the performance, she returned to her signature black tresses and debuted two more looks: a dramatic lace gown with a red corset and ruffled train, and a sleek, bedazzled black catsuit for the finale.
A Little “Rome Moment” From the Icon Herself
On Instagram, Cher shared a few photos from the night, writing simply, “A little Rome moment.”
According to Dolce & Gabbana, the event was part of a multi-day couture experience honoring fashion, cinema, culture, & art.
In a recap posted by the brand, the fashion house praised the singer’s performance:
“One iconic track after another filled the air, bringing the venue to life and delighting guests… A true icon of music, culture, and cinema, Cher took the stage with her legendary voice, adding a wave of emotion to an already unforgettable atmosphere.”
Cher’s Summer of Style Continues

This isn’t the first time Cher has made headlines this summer. The fashion-forward star recently hit the red carpet at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival to support Mariska Hargitay’s documentary “My Mom Jayne.” For the occasion, she wore a leather jacket adorned with comic book-style artwork.

Back in February, she also turned heads at the SNL50 red carpet alongside her boyfriend, music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards. The duo wore coordinated all-black ensembles, with Cher wrapped in a dramatic fur-textured coat over an embellished gown.
