Unreleased Beyoncé Music Stolen From Dancer’s Car Before Atlanta Show

A flash drive containing unreleased music, show footage, and future set lists from Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour was reportedly stolen from her choreographer’s vehicle in Atlanta earlier this month.

Beyoncé’s Team Reports Stolen Hard Drives

According to a police report obtained by People, choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue contacted authorities on July 8 after discovering that their Jeep Wagoneer had been broken into while parked at Krog Street Market in Atlanta.

Grant told police that he had parked the SUV around 8:09 p.m., and when he returned at 9:10 p.m., the back window had been smashed. Two suitcases, along with several valuable items, were missing.

“Mr. Grant advised he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,” the police report stated. “He advised he was her choreographer, and Mr. Diandre Blue was a dancer for her, and that her hard drives for her upcoming show in Atlanta were [stolen.]”

The stolen hard drives reportedly contained watermarked music, unreleased tracks, and plans for both past and future performances, including footage and set lists.

Police Issue Arrest Warrant, Theft Investigation Ongoing

Other stolen items included designer sunglasses, laptops, clothing, and a pair of AirPods Max headphones. Using tracking information from one of the devices, Atlanta officers conducted a search in the area to locate the missing property.

“I conducted a suspicious stop in the area, due to the information that was relayed to me,” one officer noted in the report. “There were several cars in the area also that the AirPods were pinging to. After further investigation, a silver [redacted], which had traveled into zone 5, was moving at the same time as the tracking on the AirPods.”

The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that their Larceny from Auto Unit has since issued an active arrest warrant for a suspect, though the individual’s name has not been released as of Monday, July 14.

“At this time, the suspect remains outstanding, and their identity is not yet available for release,” an APD spokesperson told People. “Please keep in mind that the information released is preliminary in nature and could change as the investigation progresses or new information comes to light.”

In the wake of the incident, the Atlanta Police Department also urged the public to follow their Clean Car Campaign guidelines: “We know quick stops can turn into costly mistakes. It only takes seconds for a thief to spot valuables and break in. Take your bags, phone, and anything important with you every time you leave your car. Don’t give criminals an easy win.”

Beyoncé and her team were in Atlanta for multiple tour dates at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with her final show in the city scheduled for Monday, July 14. The “Cowboy Carter” tour is set to wrap up on Saturday, July 26, in Las Vegas.
