Barbra Streisand and Paul McCartney Team Up for Romantic Duet ‘My Valentine’

Barbra Streisand is calling on a legendary friend for her latest single, Sir Paul McCartney. The iconic vocalist has collaborated with The Beatles member on a brand-new version of his 2012 ballad “My Valentine.”

Originally released on McCartney’s album “Kisses on the Bottom,” “My Valentine” was one of only two original tracks featured on his project. The romantic tune included an epic standout guitar solo by Eric Clapton. It quickly became a fan favorite for its timeless feel and intimate lyrics.

An Epic Duo!

Streisand took to Instagram to announce the duet, posting a photo of her and McCartney in the studio. “What a joy it was to record ‘My Valentine’ with @paulmccartney,” she wrote in the caption. “To share time with him in the studio was truly special! ‘My Valentine’ is out this Friday.”

This updated version of “My Valentine” will appear on Streisand’s upcoming album, “The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two.” The album is set for release on June 27 serving up as a follow-up to her 2014 Grammy-nominated “Partners.” The first version included duets with other legendary musicians, including Michael Bublé, John Mayer, John Legend, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Stevie Wonder, and even a posthumous appearance by the Rock and Roll King himself, Elvis Presley.

Streisand’s new album marks her 37th studio release. It continues her tradition of teaming up with acclaimed artists across multiple genres and generations. The first single from the project, released April 30, features Streisand in a moving duet with Hozier on “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” The performance highlights Streisand’s ability to adapt her classic style to modern arrangements. At the same time, she still honors the emotional core of the original in a way only she can do.

Other featured collaborators on the upcoming album include Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Tim McGraw, Mariah Carey, Seal, Josh Groban, Sting, and Lauv. Each track pairs Streisand’s signature vocals with a different artist, offering a wide-ranging musical journey.

The album reflects Streisand’s commitment to storytelling through music. It unites voices, both new and familiar, in a way that intrigues audiences of all ages. With decades of experience and a voice that remains unmistakably powerful, she continues to shape music in a way few artists can. As she celebrates over six decades in entertainment, “The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two” is both a celebration of legacy and a bold step into the present.
