The American Music Awards are among the most prestigious award ceremonies in the music industry. The 51st celebration will be held on Monday, May 26, at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S. It is already looking to be a memorable year with an impressive list of performers. Who Will Be Performing at the 2025 American Music Awards?
Jennifer Lopez will be hosting the award show, ten years after she first did in 2015. The ceremony will be held at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. “Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick off celebration of summer,” Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement, People reports.
The lineup of artists set to perform at the 2025 American Music Awards is diverse. Benson Boone is expected to debut new music with the track “Mystical Magical,” from his upcoming album, “American Heart.”
Blake Shelton will promote his new music from his 13th studio album, “For Recreational Use Only,” and Gwen Stefani will perform a mash-up of her greatest hits in celebration of her “Love.Angel.Music.Baby” album, released in November 2004.
Gloria Estefan will take to the AMA stage again for the first time in 32 years.
In addition, Reneé Rapp, Lainey Wilson, Alex Warren, Becky G, Manuel Turizo, Rod Stewart, Jennifer Lopez, and Janet Jackson will also perform, Deadline reports. The official website for the AMAs has teased appearances by other celebrities. Big names for the evening include: “Alix Earle, Cara Delevingne, Ciara, Dan + Shay, Dylan Efron, Jordan Chiles, Kai Cenat, Megan Moroney, Nikki Glaser, Shaboozey, Tiffany Haddish, and Wayne Brady.”
Who Has Been Nominated for an American Music Award?
Kendrick Lamar is the most nominated artist this year, with 10 nominations, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year. Post Malone is the second most-nominated artist, with eight nominations. Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, and Billie Eilish are in third place, with seven nominations each.
Other special moments for the AMAs will include the ICON award, which will be given to Janet Jackson this year. Rod Stewart’s achievements will also be recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award to honor his legacy in the music industry. With both these music legends also taking to the stage to perform, it is set to be an exciting evening!
