4th of July Concerts on TV Tonight: Who’s Performing

As America celebrates the 4th of July, the stars will be out in full force for multiple concerts to be televised on July 4, 2025. For those marking the holiday at home, here’s a rundown of who’s performing and where to catch your favorite artists, from the Jonas Brothers to Lainey Wilson to the Beach Boys.


‘Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular’ on NBC — Featuring Jonas Brothers, Lenny Kravitz & More

WHAT’S ON TONIGHT: The 49th annual “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular,” broadcast from the rooftop at Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan, airs on NBC and Peacock from 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern time. But an encore presentation will air immediately after. A Spanish-language simulcast will also air on Telemundo at 9 p.m. Eastern time.

WHO’S PERFORMING: Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose will host the show, introducing a jam-packed lineup of popular acts including the Jonas Brothers, Keke Palmer, Lenny Kravitz, Ava Max, Eric Church, and Trisha Yearwood. Even the 25-minute fireworks display has star quality, choreographed to music scored by The Roots’ Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and James Poyser.


‘A Capitol Fourth’ on PBS — Featuring The Beach Boys, Lauren Daigle & More

WHAT’S ON TONIGHT: The 45th annual “A Capitol Fourth,” features fireworks and a star-studded concert from Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. Scheduled to air live on PBS stations from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, the show will also be broadcast live on YouTube.

WHO’S PERFORMING: Actor and “Dancing With the Stars” host Alfonso Ribeiro returns to host “A Capitol Fourth,” serving as enthusiastic traffic cop during the jam-packed night of performances. The concert will include performances by legendary acts The Beach Boys (despite the recent death of Brian Wilson) and The Temptations, country acts Josh Turner and LOCASH, season 22 “American Idol” winner Abi Carter, popular contemporary Christian artists Yolanda Adams and Lauren Daigle, and jazz musician Trombone Shorty. The fireworks display will feature music by U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” and the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets.


‘The Fourth in America’ on CNN — Featuring Lainey Wilson, Nelly & More

WHAT’S ON TONIGHT: CNN’s fifth annual “The Fourth in America” special will air from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern time, with correspondents stationed at the best fireworks displays in cities across America. According to a press release from the news network, the show will be hosted by Dana Bash, Boris Sanchez, and Victor Blackwell from Washington D.C., and Sara Sidner in San Diego.

WHO’S PERFORMING: CNN’s star-studded lineup features headliner Noah Kahan feature musical performances from headliner Noah Kahan, as well as country superstar Lainey Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Sting, Nelly, Counting Crows, Timbaland, The Fray, CAKE,  Sublime, JoJo, Kaskade, 4 Non Blondes, Ashley McBryde, The War and Treaty, I Love the 90’s Tour with Vanilla Ice, Young MC, Rob Base and Tone Loc, B.o.B, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and The United States Air Force Band.
