The nominees for the 2025 American Music Awards, also known as the AMA’s, were announced on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Kendrick Lamar scores at the top, leading the nominations with 10 nods, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for his album “GNX.” The nominations were expected by most after his shocking performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring SZA.
Post Malone followed along with eight nominations, while Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey each received seven nominations total. Several fans went on to question some nominations after Ariana Grande was left out of a few AMAs awards this year, especially after delivering a heartfelt album while filming the Oscar-nominated film, “Wicked.”
Music Highlights
Country Music had a great year this time around, with Morgan Wallen nominated for Artist of the Year and Favorite Male Country Artist. The album marked a significant moment in country music history, as well as in Beyoncé’s career.
